Yesterday morning I was at MeasurementCamp -an open source to make sense of social media measurement & the first ever in Ireland.
The people there came from varied backgrounds- technical, bloggers, marketers, PR, business owners etc. The session was focused on a case study- how to market "K-Swift" shoes for women (18-30) online & offline & how to measure the online promotions.
The team I was with were very inspiring- full of excellent creative ideas & a wealth of market knowledge- both offline & online media. We had fun discussing and creating ideas & I learned a lot.
Each team made a brief presentation of the ideas they'd come up with, I was amazed at the variation of different themes/ideas that had been created in such a short space of time.
I was reminded again the power of working in a team, especially to create ideas & strategies. No one person will have a complete perspective of any situation. Many entrepreneurs & business owners find themselves working alone - especially in start up phase.
If that's what you're doing then ask yourself how are you creating your "virtual" team around you? What strategic win-win partnerships do you have that support you & your business while supporting others develop theirs?
This is critical in ensuring business success, when are you going to look into how you can implement this strategy in your business?
On Monday night I facilitated the first ever wedding professionals mastermind group in Ireland - inspired & instigated by a savvy business woman who understands the value of team-work & of building mutually beneficial relationships Blaithin Murphy of DistinctiveWeddings.ie .
The members of this mastermind group, like those attending measurement camp are the people that understand how to leverage networks to create success for all involved!
What one action can you take to create your virtual team?
